Every answer here describes how Working Dollars works today. Nothing is promised that isn’t built.

Most asked

The short answers

How much does it cost?

Every household starts with a 30-day free trial, no card needed. Pricing will be announced before launch. A friend or family member (a Champion), or your church or employer, can also cover it.

Do you connect to my bank?

Not today. You type in month-end balances yourself, so there is nothing to link. Optional bank connections may come later, and connecting will always be your choice.

Who can see my numbers?

You and the people in your household. If you choose to share with someone you trust, they can view (never change) only what you pick, for as long as you allow, and you can see when they looked. You can turn sharing off any time.

Can Working Dollars staff see my numbers?

No. Our team’s tools show only account basics, like your household’s name and your plan, so we can help you. They never show your financial information: accounts, balances, budgets, pay, or your money map. Only people you choose to share with can see those, and only what you pick, for as long as you allow. Staff use two-step verification, and every staff action is logged.

More questions

Who is Working Dollars for?

Adults 18 and older who want to get out of debt, stop living paycheck to paycheck, and grow what they have.

Is this financial advice?

No. Working Dollars gives you tools and general education. For advice about your situation, talk with a licensed professional.

Is it available in Spanish?

Yes. The whole app works in English and Spanish, and you can switch any time.

What won’t you ever ask for?

Social Security numbers, full account or routing numbers, passwords, or ID images. You can add the last 4 digits of an account to tell accounts apart; that’s optional.

How do I sign in?

With a one-time link or 6-digit code sent to your email, so there’s no password to steal. You can also turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app.

Is my information encrypted?

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our US-based hosting providers.

How are payments handled?

Through Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers.

Can I share my numbers with someone?

Yes, if you want to. You can share a read-only view with anyone you choose, like a friend, accountant, counselor, or church contact. You pick what they see (which debts, and optionally accounts and balances, budget, and net worth), whether totals and notes show, and how long it lasts: 30, 60, or 90 days, with one-click renewal. They can’t change anything, log payments, or move money, and no bank passwords are ever shared. You can see when they viewed your information and turn sharing off any time. If you share a household with a partner, each of you decides about your own information. Working Dollars doesn’t recruit, vet, certify, or endorse the people you share with.

If my church or employer covers it, what do they see?

Group totals only, like how many households joined and combined progress. Never your numbers, and never a list of who joined. Group results stay hidden until at least 5 households take part.

Can I download or delete my data?

Yes, and we want your information to keep working for you outside Working Dollars. You can download a Financial snapshot: one organized Excel workbook with a summary, an inventory of your accounts, your net worth by quarter, your debts and payoff dates, your budget, and your homes and retirement outlook, ready to bring to future conversations with a financial planner, CPA, attorney, or estate planner. You can also download a complete copy of everything you’ve entered from Settings any time. Deleting your account has a 30-day undo window, then it’s permanent.
